This part of IEC 60512, when required by the detail specification, is used for testing electricalconnectors within the scope of IEC technical committee 48. This test may also be used forsimilar devices when specified in a detail specification.The object of this part of IEC 60512 is to detail a standard test method to assess the ability ofterminations to withstand the mechanical stresses likely to be applied during normal assemblyoperations.
